Security to Ward Off Crime on Phones

Everyone has heard of people hacking into your PC and being able to steal your personal and banking information. Has it ever crossed your mind that people can hack into your smart phone?  Riva Richmond a journalist for the New York Times wrote an article on smart phone hackers. In the article she says that PC hackers were only able to access Microsoft based PC's and it had be prior to the Microsoft 7 software.  With smart phones it does not matter what model phone you can you are identity is at risk (excluding Apple's Iphone).  The mobile-security firm Lookout  conducted a test to check how many phones have already been infected by virus that are caused by hackers, out of 100 phone 9 of them are already infected. The firm suggests that smart phone users start to look at our phones as a PC.  It is also easier to catch a virus through your smart phone with 'bogus' phone text-messaging charges.  Next time you get a text from a awkward number think twice before infecting your phone.

Decentralizing the Internet So Big Brother Can’t Find You

A creditable New York City professor has invented and is promoting the first 'Freedom Box'.  The 'Freedom Box' was created to block out the government and big companies to know what we click on every time we serf the web. As of right now Eben Moglen's target audience is geared towards people of political power.  Moglen says :

“What has happened in Egypt is enormously inspiring, but the Egyptian state was late to the attempt to control the Net and not ready to be as remorseless as it could have been.”

As of right now the only that he has is the idea, and is seeking a group of engineers to help produce and manufacture the freedom box. Their has been no mention of a release date.

Although most of us ado feel that the government has access to our personal lives, I do not agree with this creation.  If the Internet was not taken advantage of and the world we lived in was all rainbows and sparkles then I would agree with Freedom Box, you can youtube how to make a bomb and you get step by step instructions.  I'm not saying that everyone is bad and is out to bomb something or someone but I think the Freedom Box will work against making our country a more safe place.

Doritos: Healing Chips

Doritos to me had the greatest commercials Super Bowl Sunday.  To be honest I was anticipating their commercials because they are usually very entertaining.

Lets not forget the 2010 Crash the Super Bowl Winner also by Doritos Frito Lay 'House Rules'

Pepsi Max: Love Hurts

Pepsi Max had a handful of commercials that aired Super Bowl Sunday. My favorite Pepsi Max commercials its 'Love hurts'.  In this commercial  you have an abusive wife that is always bully her husband, right when they are both enjoying their Pepsi Max' he checks another female out and she throws the can at her husband and it accidentally hits the females her husband was checking out.

Bud Light: Hack Job

Bud Light had close to 5 Ads in yesterdays Super Bowl XLV. My favorite Bud Light commercial  was at the beginning of the game where the happy couple is excited to see their newly redone kitchen and then when they are exposed to their "re-done" kitchen all the interior decorator did was place a bucket of chilled Bud Lights on the kitchen counter.  The man is ecstatic and the wife is confused. Just seeing the man jumped scream of excitement was hilarious and they even showed the before and after pictures.

Everyone has heard of the dictatorship going on in Tahrir, Egypt.  What comes to your mind when you look at this:

In the least to say just "Chaos".  Many people take the American government as a joke and don't really understand how lucky we are as Americans to have democracy.  For 10 days now Egypt has been turned upside down.  The government turned off the Internet for three days, the country is almost in lock down due to all the rioting going on.  Business' such as supermarkets and five star hotels have set on fire.  Civilians has been killed and severely injured, yet we don't know when it will stop.

"I offer my apology for everything that happened yesterday because it's neither logical nor rational," Shafiq told state TV. "Everything that happened yesterday will be investigated so everyone knows who was behind it."
Pro- Mubarak 'thugs' have been acting violently towards journalist, many civilians have been anonymously because they are not allowed to communicate with the foreignn journalists.
